Three years after her dad’s suicide, Julie comes back to the family home to get what’s hers : the money she inherited from her father, consisting of bills and coins all contained in a Coaticook ice cream bucket. Julie’s esoteric stepmother, Francine, refuses to give her the money, fiercely trying to honor her dead husband’s last wishes. After a desperate attempt to escape with the money, Julie finally gives in to Francine’s esoteric demand to communicate with her father’s spirit. Despite the ideological gap dividing them, the two women will lower their guard and get closer to each other.
